February 24, 2020 – New Milford Visiting Nurse & Hospice has long been known as the community’s hometown homecare agency.  What many people don’t know is that New Milford Visiting Nurse and Hospice can offer a full continuum of care, including palliative care and non-medical homecare, for individuals and their loved ones.

New Milford Visiting Nurse & Hospice, a nonprofit agency, has been providing quality healthcare to the community for over 100 years.  In addition to traditional homecare and hospice services, New Milford Visiting Nurse & Hospice offers an in home palliative care program known as HOPE, Home Care Offering a Palliative Care Experience, to individuals who suffer from a serious illness.  The goal of the program is to manage illness symptoms and it can be provided while individuals receive curative treatment for their illness.  HOPE services include skilled nursing care, pain and symptom management, medical social work services and therapeutic services such as physical, occupational or speech therapy if needed, from skilled licensed professionals.

New Milford Visiting Nurse & Hospice’s affiliate agency, VNA Home, provides non-medical home care so individuals can remain independent, safe and comfortable in their own homes.  Professional and bonded caregivers can offer hourly, full time or live-in assistance with personal care, homemaking, meal preparation, medication reminders and transportation.
