Full-Time Hospice Director
Reports to the Executive Director/CEO
2+ years homecare management experience
Demonstrates working knowledge of and follows current Federal and Connecticut State Regulations as they relate to Home Care/Hospice, and is responsible to remain knowledgeable of updated Regulations and adjust Hospice practice as required;
Demonstrates a working knowledge of and follows the established policies, procedures and guidelines of New Milford VNA & Hospice;
Ability to work autonomously and make independent decisions; Ability to work well as part of Hospice Interdisciplinary Team and assist the Team to develop and grow; listens, motivates and participates in Team activities and trainings; actively works to generate enthusiasm; and is perceived as a supporter and promoter of intra-Team relationships.
Participates in the planning and attendance of Hospice public events and fundraising activities; Supervises the Hospice Team Leader, Hospice Administrative Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator and Hospice Medical Social Worker along with Chaplin, Massage Therapist, Dietitian and Bereavement Counselor.
Maintains positive, collaborative and professional relationships with all medical professionals, medical facilities and pharmacies within our service area; Sets a positive example for desired work ethic and attitudes, shares skills with Team members, and actively learns from other Team members.
Possesses excellent time management and multi-tasking skills; Exhibits excellent verbal and written communications skills; Possesses exceptional customer service skills.
Has the desire and ability to foster compassion and growth within our Hospice Department and our Agency.
